Manchester City called upon the help of Erling Haaland and John Cena to announce their pre-season tour in the USA.

Even though Pep Guardiola’s side have loads to play for this season, they have already made plans to prepare for the new campaign.

City will play friendlies against Celtic, AC Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea in the FC Series from July to August.

It offers the chance for American fans to see their stars live in the flesh and the club hired Cena to help reveal the news.

Located in Manchester, Haaland’s phone began to ring with the WWE star’s iconic ‘You Can’t See Me’ tune and he answered in a video call.

“How come I can’t see you?” the striker asked as he stuck along with the joke, only for Cena to suggest his camera was broken.

The wrestling legend then asked about a US tour, and Haaland replied: “Yeah, we’re coming to the US this pre-season.

“We’re going to New York, Chapel Hill, Columbus and Orlando. It’s going to be great.”

Cena, still off-camera, celebrated and waved his hands across his face with his signature ‘You can’t see me’ gesture.

He then mistakenly banged the table and his visuals came on as he wore a blond wig in a slight resemblance to Haaland. The Norwegian looked disappointed and said: “You have to stop doing this.”

Cena acknowledged but then tried to fall out of shot again, bringing an end to what was a funny crossover between football and WWE.

First on the agenda for City this summer is their match against Celtic on July 23, played at the Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill.

They then travel to the Yankee Stadium in New York four days later for their clash against European giants AC Milan.

Guardiola’s former club Barcelona are City’s third opponents on July 30 and they meet at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

Their final match in the US will be played against English rivals Chelsea in Columbus at the Ohio Stadium on August 3.

The new Premier League season will kick off two weeks after, with City potentially set to defend the title yet again.
