The Rock left WWE for Hollywood in the mid-2000s and some 15 years later, it seems like it worked out for him.
Now, he’s one of the highest-ever grossing actors in Hollywood today and he has his own production company, Seven Bucks.

Still, longtime WWE fans pine for the Great One’s return and at the age of 47, time may be running out on the chances of him wrestling again.
While Roman Reigns seems to be the common idea these days if the People’s Champ was to get back in the ring, back in 2008 when inducting his family into the Hall of Fame, The Rock revealed which three men he wanted to face that he never did.
And he’s managed to tick one of them off the list.

“I just want to quickly say, there was always three guys that I wanted to wrestle and they’re here tonight. One of them was John Cena. I never had the chance to wrestle him. That would be a great match, a great match.

“The other one I’ve always wanted to wrestle and he knows this is Rey Mysterio Jr. Always, always. And finally, there’s a guy when I was 14-years-old, this man came in and wrestled for my grandmother in Hawaii and I thought ‘man…’ even then. Because he was awesome then and he’s awesome now and it would be a great match – is Shawn Michaels. Oh, that would be great,” The Rock said.
Shawn Michaels is in firm retirement and saving for a monumental payday in Saudi Arabia, he won’t be wrestling again.

Rey Mysterio is still active in WWE and he was the United States champion as recently as last week. While he’s in the winter of his career, it’s not out of the question.

Roman Reigns made his film debut alongside The Rock

However, if The Rock did come back, it would be for a money-spinning affair against one of the highest profile names possible. That would have to be Reigns, all things considered.
