We all know that John Cena is a busy man, but there has to be a limit, surely?

The 16-time WWE champion was talking to American chat show host Ellen DeGeneres this week – a show he has hosted before – and revealed he hasn’t taken a holiday since he started with WWE.

To put that into its crazy context, Cena debuted with WWE way back in 2002 when he interrupted Kurt Angle on SmackDown.

Since then, Cena has upheld one of the most insane schedules on the planet with the WWE – as its champion more often than not, too – on top of being the record holder for granting the most wishes ever in the history of the Make-A-Wish foundation.

This is not a man that has much spare time and today, that’s also true. The 42-year-old has transitioned into Hollywood for the past few years and now finds himself attached to the Fast and Furious franchise as well as signing on to feature in the Suicide Squad sequel.

“I haven’t taken a vacation, ever,” Cena told Ellen.

“There was a few times I could take two days off my work and I would still be kind of jonesing to go back to work.

“I love what I do, and it’s a weird opportunity where it shouldn’t necessarily happen – I don’t know how to tell you this, but I play fight with people for a living – so that shouldn’t be a job.

“So I really enjoy it and I love what I do and I just know that it’s gonna end at some point, so I kind of want to enjoy it all.”

When Ellen argued that Cena needs to take time to look after himself, the legendary grappler insisted he finds that in working out in the gym.

He said: “I spend a lot of time in the gym. I’m actually just taking time to reflect on myself, where I’ve been, what I believe in, where I want to go and just make sure that I keep it all together up here.”
