John Cena has baffled Chelsea fans after he randomly posted a picture of Marc Cucurella on Instagram with no caption or context.
The WWE legend shared the picture shortly after the Blues fell to a poor 2-0 defeat at home to Brentford.
Chelsea dominated the first half but were sluggish in the second, with the Bees winning a third straight match at Stamford Bridge.
Cucurella was named in the starting XI for the Blues by Mauricio Pochettino amid his recent resurgence.
And he was the subject of Cena’s latest Instagram post, although many are unsure exactly why.
Taking to the comments on the post, one Chelsea fan said: “WE JUST LOST JOHN WHAT IS THIS.”
“Please look away John not right now please,” added another as the Blues fell to their fourth Premier League defeat of the season.
A third took to X and with a laughing emoji, asked: “What’s going on here then?”
“John Cena is actually so funny – no caption, just Cucurella,” said a fourth as the mystery continues.
Cucurella, who had recently been playing at right-back for Chelsea, moved back to his original position in the left of the defence.
However, like the rest of his teammates, he was unable to keep a clean sheet as the Blues failed to pick up points yet again.
Goals from Ethan Pinnock and Bryan Mbeumo were enough for Brentford to claim victory in the west London derby.
Chelsea have now slumped to 11th in the Premier League table, with just three league wins to their name from ten.
