Ryan Garcia has urged John Cena to ‘come to Jesus’ after his scantily clad segment at the 96th Academy Awards.
The WWE superstar and Hollywood actor appeared on stage at the Oscars with nothing but a piece of paper and a cloth pouch covering his genitals.
Cena’s appearance was part of a skit with Jimmy Kimmel about the Oscars’ infamous streaker in 1974.
It has quickly become one of the most talked-about television moments of the year so far, with plenty of division online over how appropriate it was.
Garcia was among those who were not impressed with Cena’s stunt.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, he wrote: “Oh no, oh no, you can’t see me,” in reference to Cena’s famous catchphrase.
“Oh yes, we quite do. Oh no, oh no, you don’t know that everyone is laughing. They are only laughing while I’m screaming.
“Children are watching. Why oh why? Oh yeah, that’s right, your master told you so. Come to Jesus.”
He then added: “Big rumble, big tumble. Sad to see the place of stars shaken up across the boulevards.
“Heartache, heartbreak, don’t forget to roll the dice. Even that place won’t turn out nice. Beware the times, it’s coming.”
Garcia is scheduled to return to the ring on April 20 in a WBC super-lightweight title fight against Devin Haney at the Barclays Centre, New York.
Concerns have been raised about Garcia’s mental well-being in the lead-up to fight night after he released a string of worrying posts on social media including a video claiming he was dead.
Garcia’s ex-wife and brother have both come out and expressed their fears about his condition but the fight is still set to go ahead at the time of writing.
More recently, Garcia has gone back to mostly posting videos of his training and does look to be working hard.
He even brought back his famous bodyshot challenge when his bodyguard called him out earlier this week.
As is to be expected, his security member couldn’t stand up to the punishment and was keeled over in agony after ‘King Ry’s’ vicious onslaught.
